Because every detour leads to becoming who you were meant to be.
Kristi Dugger, founder of Appointed Path Counseling.
My work centers on helping you find your footing again, rebuild trust in yourself and others, and walk a clearer, more intentional path forward. Whether you’re navigating relationship struggles, healing after betrayal, or simply feeling disconnected from your purpose, together we’ll uncover what keeps you off course and chart a way toward lasting change.
Who I am
I’m Kristi Dugger, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/MHSP), wife, and mother of four.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent years in business management and collegiate athletics—environments built on performance, drive, and constant forward motion. But I began to realize that even when life looks successful on the outside, it can quietly drift off course on the inside. We overextend, stay in unhealthy dynamics, or lose ownership of our own direction while trying to meet everyone else’s expectations. Reconciliation—within ourselves and with others—begins the moment we stop performing and start living with alignment and intention again.
My own journey toward this work grew out of a season of rediscovery—seeking wisdom from mentors, gaining personal insight, and learning how to rebuild from a place of honesty and grace. Through that process, I learned to give pain a purpose: turning lessons into empathy and struggle into direction. That same process now anchors the work I do with others.
I founded Appointed Path Counseling to help people move beyond survival and walk toward lives that actually feel like their own. I integrate evidence-based practices—including CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR—with a faith-informed perspective for clients who want to connect emotional growth with spiritual renewal.
As a Christian, I believe faith and psychology are not opposites—they’re companions. Therapy through a Christian lens doesn’t ignore pain; it gives it context, meaning, and direction. My goal is to create a space where your story is safe to examine, your faith is free to breathe, and your next chapter feels both grounded and purposeful.
You were made for more than coping. Let’s uncover what keeps you stuck, rebuild what still matters, and step forward on your appointed path.
